Presenter Announcement – Andrew McMillen
Andrew McMillen is a freelance writer for Rolling Stone, Mess+Noise, The Vine, The Big Issue, The Weekend Australian, jmag and The Music Network.
Seated at the intersection of music and the media, Andrew's career so far includes blogging for nascent Perth music festival One Movement, copywriting for EMI, moderating a panel discussion on digital publishing at Big Sound 2009 and MCing the media launch of local indie music initiative Brisbane Sounds 2010.
His blog, andrewmcmillen.com, serves several purposes: it's a portfolio of Andrew's published writing, a hub containing dozens of full-length interviews, and a conversation starter for issues relating to the art of freelance writing.
Andrew will curate the Music & Media session at Unconvention Brisbane 2010.
