Presenter Announcement – Blair Hughes
Blair is a primary school teacher turned music promoter and passionate advocate and educator of the Brisbane music scene.
Since 2006 he has been running Brisbane Sounds which produces the only annual compilation record of Brisbane music artists. Blair has attended music conferences SXSW in Austin, Texas and The Great Escape in Brighton, England as well as having worked at The Zoo Nightclub in Brisbane and the Hammersmith Apollo in London.
Blair has a keen interest in promoting, mangagement, A&R and music marketing. His favourite venue is a tie between L'Olympia in Paris and London's Brixton Academy, he has the dream of booking B.R.M.C for a gig and he prides himself on providing the best riders for Brisbane artists.
