Crystle interned as a music and food writer for News Limited and Channel 9 in her teens, started interviewing international bands for Bombshellzine in 2008 and reviewed festivals and live shows for Faster Louder before taking up the editorial post in August 2009.
She plays raucous drums for shandy-loving garage band Dead Shades with music photographer Dane Beesley and Brian L’Huillier, whom she met while studying jazz saxophone at Queensland Conservatorium. Not wanting to quit the band she performed in for university, Crystle instead moved Hot Rubber Glove with her from Cairns, and promptly started managing the group. She has managed The Daybridges and Kooii, and sessioned for Butterfingers, Promiscuous, Elation and Spitfireliar albums.
Crystle is a co-founder of Kuranda Reggae Festival and has large scale tour management and rock n roll festival logistics on her to-do list.
