Ian Rogers is an academic, musician and writer. His work is primarily focused on independent, exploratory and underground music in Australia. As an academic he has a range of teaching and administrative competencies ranging from lecturing and course coordination through to events management. Additionally, Rogers is a long standing, self-managed musician having played in a variety of music projects including but not limited to Iron On (indie-pop), No Anchor (metal/punk), AXXONN (electronic) and Ambrose Chapel (electronic/experimental). He currently writes reviews and features for music publications Mess & Noise (independent) and The Vine (Fairfax). His favourite band is The Melvins and he thinks they should be your favourite band.
