Presenter Announcement: Jeremy Neale
Jeremy was a one man wolf pack for quite sometime. Adrift in a sea of bedroom recordings and big dreams for many a year, he only really started carving his musical path in 2008 as the bassist for southern country superstars Ridgeback County and as the frontman and principal songwriter of Velociraptor.
Jump to 2011 and he now plays in more bands than he can bill in one night: Tiger Beams, Velociraptor Running Guns, Lovely Legs, The Strange Attractors, The Rife, Mt Augustus and his own folk-pop solo project under his own name. This extensive list doesn't even include the bands currently on hiatus. So yeah, he plays a lot. He also emails a lot. Sure it's mostly forwards of pictures of Lolcats he found on the internet, but when he's not doing that he's sending super serious business time emails for Velociraptor and Tiger Beams. Having raised Velociraptor since it's infancy he has developed a fairly comprehensive knowledge of what it takes to organise a 12 man band, how to keep it enjoyable and how to make sure people are hearing the music. Having recently joined forces with Simon Ridley to co-manage the raptor beast, he has assimilated a whole lot of useful information on how stuff works and how the ability to wield Nanchaku can really get people's attention. Jeremy has just recently made his way into event organisation and currently hosts Scotch Night at The Sean Connery - an acoustic evening for those of the folk/pop/alt-country persuasion. Jeremy also has his own column in Scene Magazine where he wields puns with amazing skill. Most importantly he really loves Brisbane and drinks tea from a Brisbane mug.
