After ten years of working in corporate IT, Leigh Dyer joined the engineering team at
Bandcamp in early 2011. He came to Bandcamp first as a musician, looking for somewhere convenient to host his part-time creations, and he was so impressed by it that he decided to work there, doing what he could to help others distribute their music. He works remotely from his home in Melbourne, Australia.
Leigh uses open-source tools almost exclusively to create his music. He believes that open-source has the potential to revolutionise our access to creative tools, in the same way that the web (itself building upon open-source) has revolutionised our access to media.
