Presenter Announcement – Matt Rabbidge
Living in Brisbane brings its advantages, as Matt has discovered - the do it yourself mentality in this growing state is a nursery for young creatives and has proven a great place for him to make things happen.
Not long after its conception he became involved with Lick It Media, a forward thinking touring, events and promotions group. Initially working to build strong dialogue with young audiences by hosting musically orientated events, as well as regular brand and label focused showcases, Lick It now delves into creative collaborations of all sorts. Matt is also one of the founders and curator of the Nine Lives Gallery, a role that has seen him work closely with some well known Australian galleries and publications.
Admitting he may set a record for most years to complete a degree, Matt started a Business at QUT, before changing to Communication Design, then across to Media and Communications - yet to finish any of these, with Lick It, Nine Lives and the newly formed umbrella company Alps, he may be enrolled for some time yet!
One thing is for sure, Matt is passionate about building the cultural identity of this fine city. The satisfaction in making these things happen and seeing like minded people do the same will keep him here.
