Starving Kids Records
In late 2004, four mates got together with the dream of starting a record label to assist developing artists. In 2005 Starving Kids Records released its first product 'Acoustics and Stones - Volume One'; which was a collection of songs recorded in our barely better than home studio. The artists on that initial CD included Charlie Thomson, who is now emcee with The Winnie Coopers, Dan Van Zutphen, now the front man for The Paper and The Plane, and Steve Grady - who happens to be launching his debut album on Starving Kids Records in 2009. We pressed 500 units and have since sold them all. As they say - from little things big things grow.
As a registered not-for-profit, Starving Kids Records auspice all funds received for UnConvention Brisbane, holding all profits in trust for use in future events.
