The Edge
The Edge is the latest initiative by the State Library of Queensland, strengthening its position as a library for the 21st century.
Its programs explore enterprise, technology and science as well as the arts through workshops, programs, think tanks, forums and projects.
The Edge is open to everyone—the online space all the time of course, and the building seven days a week from 12 noon to 6pm, providing free access to the gear and support you need to engage with the digital world.
Access to this equipment and support is free (although some activities will cost money) so you can explore the possibilities of your own imagination without being hampered by pay day (or lack of one).
The Edge is a hub for planned and incidental collaboration—people stumble upon each other and create new possibilities that wouldn’t have existed otherwise.
In this space, more experienced practitioners can forge new partnerships and those just getting into it can learn all sorts of new skills and form professional networks that will serve them throughout their careers.
